Thank you for the correction on tayome - it seems quite obvious now
...

Here I have difficulty with the words "byaapaada" and "vihi.msa",
rendered by the PED as "ill-will" and "harming" respectively. The
problem I have is when coming to *sa~n~naa in the next sutta (6.11.04)
where it is difficult to imagine a "perception with harming". It
seems to me that vihi.msa corresponds more to ill-will, the will to
harm, and byaapaada as mentioned in the PED can refer to anger, as in
an angry thought. So, here I put:

byaapaada=hatred
vihi.msa=ill-will

Bhikkhus, there are these three dhammas.

imesa.m kho, bhikkhave, ti.n.na.m dhammaana.m pahaanaaya tayo dhammaa
bhaavetabbaa.
/of these /indeed /o Bhikkhus /three /dhammas /for abandoning /three
/dhammas /should be developed /
Verily, o Bhikkhus, for the abandoning of these three dhammas, three
dhammas should be developed.

katame tayo? kaamavitakkassa pahaanaaya nekkhammavitakko bhaavetabbo,
byaapaadavitakkassa pahaanaaya abyaapaadavitakko bhaavetabbo,

Which three? For the abandoning of thoughts of sensuality, thoughts
of renunciation should be developed. For the abandoning of thoughts
of hatred, thoughts of non-hatred should be developed. For the
abandoning of thoughts of ill-will, thoughts of non-ill-will should be
developed.
