One Wiki-like possibility that might be interesting for Pali students
is the opportunity for people on this list to share some of the
information that they have picked up on and off the web in a single,
centralized location. The existing index of web links on the site
provides excellent resources for a number of topics on the web, but I
am sure that there are resources that people on the list are aware of
that aren't linked.

There also may be information that is not related to the web -
schools, temples or community groups that offer classes in Pali, other
languages, or Buddhist studies that aren't linked from the web.
Information on universities that offer courses in Buddhism or
Buddhist-related languages. It's probably comparatively simple to
learn this information within your own country, but quite daunting to
try and find out what schools on the other side of the world might
offer. Many small temple communities in the United States have some
classes or opportunities of this sort, but because of deficiencies in
language, funding, technical know-how, or perceived need this
information is not available anywhere on the web. User contributed
systems like this can be excellent for drawing together this sort of
knowledge from individuals, pooling the bits and pieces of useful
knowledge that many of us have picked up or have access to locally.
It' can really increase the amount of information available to
everyone without increasing the burden on Yong Peng as the site
maintainer.
