you are right. It should be 'maa'. Thanks for that.

To see the distinction between 'ma' and 'maa' in the online PED, you
have to select the "I have a Unicode font installed" option. Even if
you don't have Unicode font installed on your system, you will see
differences in the words, but they can be illegible.

Then, you may want to choose the option "Words that match" to shorten
the word list generated by the search.
