Correct, if "do not avoid" is seen as imperative; but
would there be a "you" to begin with in that case?
(English is not my mother-tongue, so I am just
asking.)

If "you do not avoid" is taken as indicative, I think
a better translation would be "paññavante ca
gu.navante ca na parivajjetha". (The pronoun "tumhe"
would be possible, but not compulsory. I think the
first "ca" could also be left out, or included.)
