Before I add this map to my website: I would welcome some feedback and
corrections. You can see a medium resolution image here: http://homepage.
ntlworld.com/bpesala/clipboard/Jambudipa.jpg I am planning to give visitors
a choice of medium and high resolution images with a detailed high
resolution view of majjhimadesa.
I have relied heavily on information on this map produced in Burma - all the
place names are of course in Burmese script, which I hope you can all read.

One of the sixteen states is not apparently marked on the map - Anga, the
state where Visakha came from. Her family was from the city of Bhaddiya in
Anga, which was apparently part of the Magadha kingdom. I have marked it as
the area south of the Ganges at Campa, and east of Rajagaha. There is a town
named Bhaddiya north of Nalanda, which I assume to be Visakha's birthplace.
Sri Lanka should I think be marked as Tambapanni or was it Serendip? It
might also be good to locate Suvannabhumi. Chittagong gets my vote at the
moment.
