Dear John and friends,

thanks, John. That was the idea "thoka.m thoka.m" gave me. I stand to
be corrected. This is what is given in the answer key:
"The women got the maiden to cook rice and gave a little each to the
girls."

I have just checked with the PTS and it gives "thoka©¯ thoka©¯" as "a
little each time, gradually, little by little". Thanks, I will update
the solutions and put both in.

I believe "thoka.m thoka.m" can be translated as "little by little"
which might make more sense in this sentence. Thus:
"The woman got the maiden to cook rice and she distributed it to the
girls little by little."
