Dear Rett,
I am studying a part of the Yamaka (sixth Book of Abhidhamma) and have the
word aamanta. There are questions and fater each one there is: aamanta. PED
gives: asking, asked, invited (from aamanteti, or aa+mant). Can it be: I am
asking? What does Cone say?
In another context, about the latent tendencies, anusaya, and a person who
has these, I read:
<evaruupa.m saanusayata.m sandhaaya `aamantaa'ti vutta.m.> Here it seems
that someone says welcome to some else who has the same inclinations. He
says, invited.
Thank you,
Nina.
