That's very interesting. I haven't reached Ch 26 in
Warder yet, so wasn't familiar with the ordinal to
cardinal conversion.
However, I don't think that's what's happening here.
I interpreted tiini'maani as tiini (three) + imaani
(these), both nominative plural.
Hence:
Tii.ni�maani, bhikkhave, nidaanaani kammaana.m
samudayaaya.
There are these three causes for the arising of karma.
