Dear Piya,
I'm afraid that I too had no success with any of the Pali/Sanskrit fonts on
my computer. One of Friedlander's pages has a link from which a font can
supposedly be downloaded, but clicking on it I just get a "page not found"
message.
Looking through the html encoding and stylesheet I noticed that there is a
font mentioned called Ola-trans. I've never heard of this one before and a
websearch drew a blank.
In the end I joined all the files together with a wordprocessor and then
used search-and-replace to change the gibberish to Velthuis encoding. I have
saved the resulting file in RTF format. If anyone would like a copy just
e-mail me.
Best wishes,
Robert
