Dear Pali friends,

You may be interested in the meaning of 'osadhitaaraka'.
PTS dictionary explains it as following:

star of healing. The only thing we know about this star is its white
brilliance. Childers calls it Venus, but gives no evidence; other
translators render it 'morning star'.

Sanskrit equivalent of Osadhitaarakaa is U'sanastaarakaa.
In Monier-Williams dictionary we read:

u'sanas - name of the Planet Venus.

What the astronomers say:
http://www.seds.org/nineplanets/nineplanets/venus.html :

Venus has been known since prehistoric times. It is the brightest
object in the sky except for the Sun and the Moon. Like Mercury, it
was popularly thought to be two separate bodies: Eosphorus as the
morning star and Hesperus as the evening star,

Venus is usually visible with the unaided eye. Sometimes
(inaccurately) referred to as the "morning star" or the "evening
star", it is by far the brightest "star" in the sky.
