Dear friends,

Studying the psychological aspects of Buddha's teachings, I came upon
amazing descriptions of how Buddha dealt with particular difficulties
of his disciples, in Dhammapada-Atthakatha, available in concise
rendition at http://tipitaka.topcities.com/dmpada.htm .

Of special interest are commentaries to verses 25, 31, 46, 170,
277-279, 285, 347, where people's difficulties are resolved after
pursuing the practice (kammathana) appropriate for them.

Has anyone made a study of such cases, and their implications in
finding appropriate ways to handle the stumbling blocks of practice
of particular individuals, and ultimately in psychotherapy?

Metta,
Dimitry
