The problem with the "changed too much" argument is that it's usually
based on arguments from glottochronology. Yet all the assumptions of
glottochronology are either vague or known to be false. Granted the
evidence so far isn't good enough to prove the Nostratic hypothesis,
but if we don't look we can never hope to find it.
