The origin of that fringe theory was the well-known fringe theorist
Siegmund Freud ("Moses and Monotheism") who claimed Moses, judging
from his name, must be a Egyptian.
The full version is by Ahmet Osman "Stranger in the Valley of the
Kings", and two more books. I've read the first two and was
fascinated (of course, you'll all say). As for the the Aknenaton =
Jesus part, I haven't read it, so I'll reserve my judgement.
The idea of the first two books is that Akhenaton = Moses. He goes on
to reconstruct what happened at the end of the life of Moses-
Akhenaton, which goes like this: A-M is forced to abdicate and goes
live in the desert, but returns.
So I thought: Now where have I heard that before?

In Saxo, of course:

"
Woden himself dwelt at Upsala and Byzantium (Asgard); and the
northern kings sent him a golden image ring-bedecked, which he made
to speak oracles. His wife Frigga stole the bracelets and played him
false with a servant, who advised her to destroy and rob the image.

When Woden was away (hiding the disgrace brought on him hy Frigga his
wife), an imposter, Mid Odin, possibly Loke in disguise, usurped his
place at Upsala, instituted special drink-offerings, fled to Finland
on Woden's return, and was slain by the Fins and laid in barrow. But
the barrow smote all that approached it with death, till the body was
unearthed, beheaded, and impaled, a well-known process for stopping
the haunting of an obnoxious or dangerous ghost.

since I recalled that Akhenaton had two daughters: Meret-Aton and
Meket-Aton.
(Osman: Aton = Adonis = Adonai, so why not Odin?)

An extended version of the theory found on the net includes Oidipus.
So I thought: Oidipus = stung-foot (the classical interpretation of
the name)? That sounds like something made up to explain something
unexplainable. How about Odin + pot-s instead (Odin, Aton etc. the
ruler).

Si non é vero, é ben trovato.
