Hmm, it's nice to be aware of that at least, but I think i'll stick to the ǿ because of the reasons stated in earlier mails.

The reason why you find Danish the hardest to read may be because it is the scandinavian language that is least compareable with the old norse language :)

Yes, though I think that the <œ> (o-e-ligature) is
considerably more common and therefore more likely to be
understood.
