You're quite right that <málnyta> includes all milch
animals. I wasn't correcting 'milking livestock', but
rather other parts of those sentences. I'm not sure now,
but I think that I had in mind to write 'milch animals',
'milch cattle' (in the older sense of 'cattle'), or Zoëga's
'milch kine' and wrote 'cows' out of habit.
