Gunnar allowed this choice. He allowed then to search the dead and take
that wealth which (the) dead men had had and
þá = acc plural of sá or hann, ie them. In my experience þá can be 4
different things: adverb = then (most common), pronoun = acc pl of sá or
hann, them those (masc), pronoun = acc sg of sú, that (fem), or verb =
past part of þiggja, received, accepted.
