Kyrring Means Calm (CV),
It is to my mind that sheep can be most likeable critters but very easily .
.upset and if they are kept away from danger and guarded then the better for the sheep and for their herder/owner being chased by a villainous dog or other animal will cause an Ewe ro drop her lam afore-time and sop lose it.
In CV Kyrr-seta is at rest or resting
Kyrr-setja is sequestering - so right then - keep then sequestered from danger
I can understand and appreciate your reasons Grace for being wishful to work on
..this project I am only sorry I have "nicht schon zeit" to participate.
But I would add that to keep the sheep calm and at ease would be essential - away from Bears
Wolves and whatever might upset them

PS I like the things rather a lot - since I had to rescue a little woolly lamn Awwwww
He was stuck between two strands of barbed wire caughtin his fleece and he was simply
Terrified - so I got a multiplicity of tiny stab wounds in my hands but had I left the thing
..where it was he could have died
Grace your transcription and translation attempts have been to my mind quite magnificent
..but then - I like them "silly critters - sheep"

Anyone have a clue what kyrring would be in terms of sheep herding?
Grace
