Not the site I was thinking of, but a bit more on Langobardic
influence. There are also a lot of Gothic words in Gerhard
Koebler's "Gotisches Woerterbuch" reconstructed on the basis of loans
into Italian. In some cases these overlap with the proposed
Langobardic loans, as the exact origin of a word is not always clear.
Elcock's "The Romance Languages" tells the story of the evolution of
Latin, including Germanic and other influences.
