I have never heard of a German word: Banse.  Is it a particular dialect?  We have the word "Bude" in High German, which is usually a booth at a fair or market, or a little kiosk selling sweets and beer.  It comes from the word "bauen", to build (related to Old Norse bua = to dwell).

goose = Gans, geese = Gänse in German.

With regards,
