Hehe:) That's probably very true. It's almost impossible
to do this without making a fool out of yourself.
I forgot to say anything about the actual rhythm of
the dróttkvætt stanzas I read. In those recordings I
decided to read each word with its normal emphasis;
that is, I read:
^ - - ^ - ^
at grafvitnis morði
Instead of forcing the later Icelandic monotone upon them.
- ^ - ^ - ^
at grafvitnis morði
I also tend to have a strong emphasis on the last word
of every line.
The actual rhythm of dróttkvætt is a VERY difficult
subject and I believe you have to read some _thick_
19th century German books to get involved;)
