[It is now further clear that you could not even ‘now’ read an English translation of the verse from Tolkappiam quoted earlier.

It is not compulsory to enter into a discussion about a book one has not read.]

You are not realising that the verse you have quoted is incorrect.  Here is an excerpt from Pavanar's book (for the benefit of those who do not know Pavanar was a Tamil scholar ) :

Page 311:

"

16. ERRORS IN TOLKAPPIYAM

As Tolkappiyar was a Sanskritist, he has committed the
following solecisms in his work :

     (1) The syllabic consonant ‘ša’ is not an initial letter (62)."

Now do you get it that the verse you are quoting from Tolkappiyam and the interpretation you are giving is wrong? When Pavanar can find the rule in Tolkappiyam that Tamil words cannot begin with
"ச" question is why can't you find it?

Hope this helps!
