it is pertinent to note that Telugu dictionaries has claimed  ఆవ  (āva) including సాసువులు (sāsuvulu) as Telugu words only.

අබ (aba) was mentioned as Sinhala word.

Internal rules of Tamil grammar need not be applicable to other dravidian/Aryan languages, as far as s=a changes are concerned.

Tamil lexicon has claimed that the word ஐயவி (aiyavi) as Tamil word only. Tamil word ஐயவி (aiyavi) has different origin.

Turner has discussed about Austro Asiatic word as the alleged source of sarṣápa and while doing so, he casually and merely mentioned the Tamil word ஐயவி (aiyavi). He is not sure about the etymology of sarṣápa of Sanskrit, ஐயவி (aiyavi) of Tamil and sesawi of Malay. He could not explain the origin of sesawi of Malay. He has merely compared these words. Artificial dhatupatha, proto Indo European language, pre proto Indo European language, proto prakrit, and proto Sanskrit reconstruction theories could not help him to find out the etymology of the Sanskrit words सरिषपः (sariṣapaḥ), सर्षपः (sarṣapaḥ). No other cognate words for them except those North Indian borrowed or corrupted words.

Before claiming ownership over ஐயவி (aiyavi), Sanskrit Scholars should explain the origin of the Sinhalese word අබ (aba) and the etymology of  सरिषपः (sariṣapaḥ), सर्षपः (sarṣapaḥ) with necessary grammar rules.
