The native cognate is sapùk. I mention Khow (also called Khowar) [the l. of the Khow people; named the same as Kohistan; rel. to kaufa- = mt OP; ko:h P;] all the time because of its vast importance in Ind-Iran. studies (branching, timing of migrations, languages contacted, etc.). It has not received the needed attention from linguists, mostly because of Morgenstierne's mistakes in studying and describing it.
