I've never been convinced by the usual etymology of <religio:> "religion" from
verb <religa:re>. Alternative views linking it to Latin relega:re seems a bit
less unplausible, but there's no sure etymology. Would the suffix <-ligio:>
linked to <legio:>?
Could we risk to propose a "heterodox" etymogy <religio:> < *rerigion- <
*re-sagion- or *re-segion- ?
