It's *-elo-/*-ero- rather than *-lo-/*-ro-, and it sometimes appears in
forms related to es-stems. We also have e.g. *nebH-elah2 > nebula and
PGmc. *axaz/-iz- beside *aGila- 'ear of corn' < *h2ák^-es-, *h2ak^-eló-
(as for the IE status of former, cf. Lat acus, -eris 'chaff').
