Just out of curiosity. What is "Race" for you guys anyway? Is it identical to "Colour"? If so how many "races" are there? I ask because it seems that frequently accusations of "racism" have little to do with colour. Has "race" become as meaningless a concept as "fascism"? White, Black, Brown (?), Red (??), Yellow. Are there "in betweens"? Why is Obama "Black"? All this sounds extraordinarily primitive to me. There has to be more to this than mere colour. Or is it the accidental (historical) association of certain undesirable traits (which are totally independent of colour) with colour? Is all this just another example of the massively growing guilt syndromes (with respect to European "whites" anyway) which Freud long ago predicted could lead to an awful social explosion? (Cf. his "Civilization and its discontents" (1930).

race is an artificial abstract that pretends to divide the human continuum into arbitrary categories

Churchill, Lincoln etc. were steeped in the ignorance of their time. Washington and Jefferson were slave owners.

We know better, we can do better.
