I suspect that most modern varieties of standardized Breton will be
fairly well understood by Léonais speakers, less so by Trégorrois and
Cornouaillais speakers and largely incomprehensible to speakers of
Vannetais Breton (at least Haut-Vannetais).
The main problem, apart from different dialectal developments in the
phonology (where standard Breton mainly, though not exclusively,
follows Léonais Breton) is probably the grammatical archaisms (e.g.
preservation of the aorist) and above all the numerous neologisms,
where traditional speakers use French words.
