Oops, you probably meant RV us.t.ár- 'draught bull', ús.t.ra-, but isn't
that word a relative of 'ox' (Skt. uks.án-, Goth. aúhsa, Wel. ych, TB
okso etc.)? Whatever the root, *-en- and *-ter- are both agent suffixes,
so *uks-é:n and *uks-té:r (or the like) could well refer to the same
critter.
