Thank you Rick, I really don't know.. I'm way over my head here!

I'm also pondering the similarity between Ares and Eris (goddess of
strife) and the Greek Arai (spirits of curses). I have no idea if
there might be any connection.
I also noted Pokorny's entry *eres- "to pierce, stab" and wonder if
there may be any connection there?
