The Yahoo! group "AncientIndia" is a discussion forum started by me about 4 years ago with a view to disseminate knowledge of Ancient Indian Past to historians and laymen alike.

It is a a professional group for studying the History,Philosophy,Sociology, Culture and Linguistics of Ancient India, with the period being covered starts from prehistoric times through Vedic age, IVC
times, Buddha, Mauryans, Satavahanas, Vakatakas, Guptas till the times
of Harsha Vardhana.
Members are encouraged to discuss Indology and Indian History on the
basis of Archeology, Literature, Tradition , Linguistics and other
tools.
The thrust is on radical research of Indian past in the indigenous cultural context and try to understand the same through ages in the International environment, rather than in isolation.
There are about 250 members, including several professors and professionals in Indology and allied fields.
