Where else was an argument about the guilt of nations ever
going to end up, though? Now religion has been added to
the mix, and I find even myself strongly tempted to remind
Arnaud of how Roman Catholics used to burn people alive.
I don't suppose it will do any good to remind people that
nations don't admit to such adjuncts as honor or shame, or
innocence or guilt. Those only properly attach to human
individuals. At least I thought that common knowledge of
the enlightened.
I used to believe the IndianCivilization list was the worst
of all lists I'd seen, and cybalist the best, but in fact
in all my time on I.C. I received not as many insults as I
have received from cybalist. Moreover even on a list with
as many Hindu fundamentalists as IndianCivilization there
was never as much interest in my 'jati', or birth, as there
has been on cybalist, which has described me as having low
breeding, a family name taken from a garbage can, and now as
the product of incest and/or exposure to radiation.
