1. 8-bit != Unicode
2. The standard Internet encoding in Hungary, Poland, Czech Rep. etc. is
(at least theoretically) ISO-8859-2 which doesn't contain _o-tilde_ and I
don't see that char in your message -- I see just _o_.
3. The thing is, George had problems with _o-double acute_ and _u-double
acute_ which, of course, are present in ISO-8859-2. If he hadn't he
wouldn't need substitutes.
