How do you know that the mural inscription from which we know the word
spells it out in full?

"Accented" is not the same as "stressed". One would expect something
like *pVrusup[] in Etruscan, with initial _stress_; the Greek pitch
accent doesn't matter, nor does Etruscan preserve the original phonation
of stops in Greek borrowings. *pHerusup[] (with an anaptyctic vowel) >
*pHersup[] (with syncope) is quite thinkable.

Not *-otio:-, but *-otih3- > *-otjo:- > *-osso:- > -oso:- (as there's no
morphological boundary between *t and *j, -s- is the regular outcome).
