I fail to see what my reconstruction above has to do with 'Laryngeal
Theory', Jurassic version or otherwise.

In my version of the word, there are _no_ laryngeals.

The *a: is naturally long, i.e. comes into PIE already long without the aid
of a 'laryngeal'.
