Re: hoopoe

stuppa is the same root for Gaulish
tupp-/stupp-/tsupp- "trunk" in French et al. In IA,
it's the root for "tuft of hair", hence stupa
Torsten's stuppa looks like the same thing as *tap,
*tewp
