Technically, OE súcan is not geminated, but we probably have
degemination after a long vowel here (the length is
analogical). In view of Lith. sun~kti, the most likely
source is *suk-né- > sukk- ~> su:kk- > su:k-. ON súga is
from non-nasal *suk-é- > sug- ~> su:g-.
