Very early on in my work on Indo-Tyrrhenian I had been thinking along
the lines of Etr tH corresponding to a PIE laryngeal, but I couldn't
find any other examples and I couldn't explain the Etr u PIE *oi
correspondence. So I gave up on the idea.
