****GK: Because they knew precious little about these
areas (cf.Strabo VII).And even less about those of the
Baltoslavs and Finns. Tacitus thought the Aestii spoke
Celtic... Polybius thought the Basternae were
Celts.(but this was a recent colonization so it
doesn't fit your question.)****
