Because 'enemy' implies a personal conflict, whereas I would hope that
your aims are to establish the truth, rather than merely to score
points off one another.

I think Jouppe is saying that we are short of people who can talk
authoritatively on Uralic languages. Actually, we have several
academics here who have made some study of Uralic languages, though
apparently generally with a view to the possibility of a genetic
relationship between Uralic and Indo-European.
