That's the problem with people who don't know
Ibero-Romance and then pretend to work with Basque
just on the basis of some dictionary, cavalierly
disregarding everything Trask and Mitxelena et al had
to say, as if they were fools.

I agree that my command of Basque and IBero-Romance
is deficient.
But experience is a sum of errors...
The surest way You make no errors
is when you keep on doing nothing at all.
