Can't *s-yeux 'menace' and *d-yeux 'enthrallment' be seen as some sort
of parallel?
That is: I have been inclined to see the scenario of prefixation as
proposed by Arnaud to be reasonable.
Being shown the Wikepaedia article proposing s mobile as a result of
sandhi I was at first very sceptic. But coming to think of it this is
perhaps not so bad idea after all seeing the (possible) development of
s-yeu and d-yeu.
