But you know French and Russian, right? You've taken
Latin, right? So Romanian should be a snap. The Latin
derived words are generally very transparent and the
Slavic derived should be pretty easy for someone who
knows Russian. Even though my knowledge is Slavic
languages is very rudimentary, there's enough Latin
derived lexicon that I can usually get the gist, and
there are Romanian dictionaries on-line so that
written Romanian isn't too hard. The spoken language,
however, is a different story.
