Does it? If what you have in mind is <máya:>, it's the instr.sg. of the
1st person pronoun, so it means 'by/with me', not 'mine'. In several
branches of IE the enclitic dat./gen. *moi was thematised to yield a
possessive pronoun (e.g. Slavic *moj-o- > OCS mojI, Gmc. *moi-no- > Eng.
mine/my, Lat. meus < *me/oj-os), but Sanskrit is not one of them, unlessI'm missing something.
