The Pripyat Marsh theory is something that's bandied
about in histories but it does reek of ethnocentrism
--Slavs who hid out in the swamps until everyone else
killed each other off. I suppose it's something that
19th century German or British historians just made up
and it became "popular knowlege". But given that I've
often come across this and obviously Torsten has too,
it comes from somewhere.
But tell us about the Wis?a-Odra and Carpathian
theories. Given that Torsten has Germanic near the
Wis?a-Odra basin and the Celts were near there in
Galicia, while the Dacians and Thracians were near the
Carpathians --the Slavs were bunched in.
