AFAIK Thuringian was affected by the second shift. The presented
exposee (esp. the link Thuringi Tervingi) seems therefore dubious to
me. On the whole I'd agree now with Piotr and others that the
phonetically correct form in NHG should be *Düringer < *Þuringôz.
