With IE connexion
we've got :

Indo Européen Beregh (White/To shine)
Celtic Brittonic       : Old Breton Berth (Beautiful)  Middle Breton Berz Breton Berzh (Prospirity/Success). Welsh Berth (Beautyiful/To shine/Perfection)
Germanic Berkhiaz Gotic Bairhþs (To shine. Old English Beorth (Bright/Splendid). Old Hight German Behrata (Goddess Name : The shining one) to give personal name Bertha.
Lituanian Breksta (Se lever/Poindre). Serbo-Croate Bistar (Clear).
Latin Beryllus from Berillus (Emerald)> Italien Brillare- French Brillant
Sanskrit Bharjate (To shine)
But Non Indo Européen
? Turk Berrak (Bright/Clear)

Assunto: [tied] Bhrgu, Rbhu, Manu

Has Bhrgu an IE etymology? Is it from *bHleg- "to burn, shine" or *bHerg- "white" ?

Is it analogous to Rbhu. Rbhu is akin to ON alfr; R.bhu < *h2LbHus, alfr < *h2elbHos.
By analogy, we can propose a *bHRgu- / *bHergos alternation?
Manu could fit in this form (zero grade + u = adjective?)
Manu < *mnu, *mnHu-, *mNnu- *mMnu - ????
