It seems possible that x() did not become -syllabic before C C+syl.
(so from the weak stem *xar-xW,-tr,+). The quality of xW vs x(Y)
doesn't matter.

An xW can also come from kW; optional kWo- > xWo- in Arm. and
Celtic. kWr,- > xWr,- > xWor- > (h)or- in Arm., also.
