P.S. West Saxon retains /e:o/ both from *eu/*iu as in le:oht 'light' (n.
and adj. = 'not dark', from *leuk-) and from the breaking of *i:, as in
*liNxta- > *li:xt- > li:oht > Angl. li:ht, LWS le:oht 'light' (= not
heavy', from *h1lengWH-).
