Interesting cat debate.
Two reflexions:

1 irregular p in languages not supposed to have inherited initial p;
when calling animals' attention it is common to not to use the
regular sounds in language (I am thinking of cause of the signals to
stop and start a horse: bilabial tremulant and bilabial
retrofricatative (?) respectively);
in Swedish the call for the cat is "kiss, kiss" with a hard k before
a front vowel (also in dialects still strict in applying palatalizing
lautgesätz);
so lautgesätze are hardly applicable when talking to animals;

2 A cat it is not domesticated; it is a wild but smart animal
tolerating humans and adopting a family that provides good food and
calm cosy heating and can easily move to a place where it can find
even better conditions whenever it pleases
