<ucchis.t.a-> is from <ut-s'is.t.a->, formed with <ut-> (for
phonetical reasons, here substituting for <ud->, a prefix that in this
case indicates separation and disjunction) and <s'is.t.a-> 'anything
that remains or is left, remains, remnant' (from the verbal root
<s'is.-> 'to leave, leave remaining').
